With 2009 coming to a close we all have many things over the past year to look back upon with thankfullness. I am so thankful to my family, customers and health. What are you most thankful for in 2009? Post your comments and share.
We had a very emotional year with the store move, store closing, store reopening and general growing pains of most businesses. We are very appreciative you have shared the ride along with us. It would not have been the same without you.
Another year goes by and with a close of a year we look forward to 2010 with much eagerness and anticipation. The Craft and Hobby Association Trade show is coming up quick. I leave in just a few short weeks to go to the biggest buying show of the year. Lets hear from you on what manufacturers and themes you would love to see in the store in 2009.
The Photography classes have been a HUGE success and we will continue to add additional classes to the already growing list of choices.
We have the collection packs and embellishments for the new Basic Grey lines coming in January 4th. www.basicgrey.com origins and sugar rush
Wishing you all the best in 2010!

{Exciting Cruise Info}
www.royalcaribbean.com
The even better news is I am finalizing details to have both Donna Downey and Teresa Collins join us on the cruise. The cruise will be what we are calling classes and cruising. This way you get to enjoy the best of both worlds. This is the Largest ship in the World and many may be torn at what to do? crop or experience the ship. The way planned it you get to do both. You get to take some amazing classes from 2 of the most talented ladies in the industry and experience all the luxury's of first class cruising. All classes will be held during at sea days. They are all included in the rate that is being calculated. You will be more than welcome to scrapbook or stamp any other time of the cruise if you choose. There will not be page layout contests or stamping contests just good ole fashion getting stuff done if that is what you elect to do in your spare time. Basically you get to take some amazing classes and enjoy all the amenities of a luxuy cruise liner. They have a top notch kids club including a new baby and toddler nursery(not sure of pricing on that). There is something to do for kids of all ages including the grown kid you may be married to inlcuding a state of the art casino, fitness center, spa and more...
We have a website you can go to register. You will have cabin options as normal to choose from just please note because this is a brand new ship it is very popular and once it is sold out we have no way of adding additional cabins to our group. My recommendation is get your deposit in and pay a little each month until the balance is due 70 days prior to sailing.
Watch for more details including website address for registration as well as class info.

{Holidays}
We had our annual Thanksgiving gathering here at the store last night. Thanks to those that joined us. I had a wonderful time seeing everyone and sharing your holiday.
I do not know about anyone else but I am having trouble getting into the Holiday Season this year so I started playing Holiday music the middle of November to help.
Don't forget we are doing our December raffle again. This month's raffle will be a brand new Dell Netbook and Photoshop Elements 8. The tickets are $5 or 5 for $20. Last month's winner was overjoyed when she won it was an early Christmas Present she said.
We are accepting Prima orders (30% off) and Magenta orders (20% off) through Sunday November 29. All you do is place an order and pay and you get the discount.
We just posted our December Photography and Elements Classes.

{Anniversary Crop..what a Hit}
It is Sunday morning at 1:44 am, yes you read that correct. We still have at least 3 hours before everyone goes to bed for the night. These weekends are exhausting but oh so fun!
Our Grand prize raffle was for a Dell Netbook!! Everyone was eager to win this great goody. Susan must be the luckiest person in the world. Several years back she won a Cricut machine at one of our events and now teaches Cricut classes for us. She promises with her new win she will start teaching Design Studio classes for us as well. Get busy Susan...
We had some great meals this weekend along with amazing raffles from contributors like Apricot Lane, The Promenade, My Minds Eye and Paper House Productions.
We had Janice draw the name and she actually chose herself for one of the prize drawings. That happened twice last night when Bailey also drew her own name for a raffle prize.
Everyone pigged out on Spaghetti and Meatballs Friday night and Chicken and Rice last night followed by cake both nights. This was truly a calorie filled weekend.
On a serious note we had a full crop with 40 ladies cropping. My thanks and appreciation goes out to old and new friends who came to support me and the store at our anniversary crop. What a fun filled 3 years we have had. We would not be where we are without you! We look forward to many years to come filled with fun, cropping and many new adventures mixed in.

Basic Grey NOOK AND PANTRY coming FRIDAY!!!
We will be receiving the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry line on Friday afternoon sometime. As always I have no idea exactly what time UPS will be here but it is already in the computer and ready to go! We are open till 9pm on Friday. Hurry in for the best selection.
Kokuyo Preorder
We will begin taking preorders on the Japanese version of Kokuyo. What I mean by that is their version is in Japanese packaging and is in meters vs. feet. Both the Dot N Liner regular and long contain more feet per machine and refill than the original US version. The initial order requires prepayment upon order. They are requiring a LARGE initial order. Here is a breakdown comparison chart between the US and Japanese versions:
US Version: Japanese Version you will get:
Dot n Roller Machine Dot n Line Machine
43 ft. - $5.99 52 ft. - $7.75
Refill 43 ft. - $4.49 Refill 52 ft. - $6.25
Tape n Roller Plus Tape n Roller Power
32 ft. - $9.99 32 ft. - $9.99
Refill 32 ft. - $5.99 Refill - $5.99
Dot n Roller LONG Machine
85 ft. - $11.99
Refill 85 ft. - $9.00
While the long is more expensive for the machine it also contains almost double the original US version. It is contained in a machine that looks just like the Tape N Roller Plus. I cannot guarantee the new versions will fit in the old US machines until I actually get them here and can try them. You can see the Long Refill is 32ft longer and only $2.75 more than the 52 feet version for the refill. It is more cost effective to go to the newer machine. We will take initial orders until Monday October 12th. At that time we will determine if there was enough interest to order. You will not be charged till the order is placed. The shipping time depending on stock can take as much has 4-6 weeks due to shipping from Japan. Please email your requests so we have it in writing and make sure to include a phone number so we can call for credit card when the time comes.
