Today's Digital SLR cameras allow both novice and experienced photographers to create some truly amazing images. If you are new to DSLR photography this class is for you. We will teach you everything you need to know to become successful at picture taking with your DSLR no matter which model or brand you choose. In this class you will learn all about the features and attachments available on your DSLR. We will cover topics such as Scene Modes (M/S/A/P modes) Media setup and resolution adjustments, ISO and White Balance, Lens/filters, focusing/exposure modes, flash and accessories. This is a hands-on class and you are expected to bring your cameras to class. We will be taking pictures and demonstrating different techniques along the way.

Point and Shoot Photography - 10/7/2009 - $30

How many times have you taken a picture with your trusty point-and-shoot digital camera only you didn't get the results you were expecting? Have you ever found yourself next to other people trying to capture an image while on vacation only to be disappointed that everyone was getting it but you? Well, here's the class for you. While point and shoot cameras are designed to be easy to use, there are many misunderstood features contained in those pocket-sized packages. In this class, we cover:ISO/White Balance SettingsResolution, Mega pixels and File Types, Memory Cards and File DownloadsExposure/Metering ModesFocus ModesScene Settings Optical vs. Digital Zoom. By the time we're done, you'll be able to extend the versatility of your point-n-shoot camera and start taking some truly jaw-dropping photographs of friends, family, and scenery.

This is a follow-up class for DSLR users that want to take their skills to the next level. In this class we will be talking about the advanced features of your DSLR including: Apertures vs Shutter Speed, Metering and Exposure Control, Focus Control and Adjustment, Bracketing and ISO/Flash/Shutterspeed, Flash Photography and Lighting Techniques. This is a hands on class and you should bring your camera and its accessories. We will be taking pictures in class for discussion so be prepared to shoot.

American Craft Endeavors, the states largest producers of craft festivals, is excited to bring a first class craft festival to the Promenade at Coconut Creek. The festival will take place right on the streets of the Promenade giving patrons the opportunity to peruse one of a kind crafts such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, and much more as well as a green market with live orchids, tasty dips, and homemade body products. All crafts are made by the crafter presenting the crafts giving visitors the opportunity to learn how the goods are made and the inspiration behind the creations. Promenade at Coconut Creek also gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy exquisite cuisine, fine retailers, and exquisite scenery. Best of all admission and parking is free. See you at the show.
