Photography DSLR 101 - 11/3/2009 - $30
CLASS POLICY: Class fees will be charged the day of registration to hold the space. A CANCELLATION CODE MUST BE RECEIVED VIA EMAIL A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF CLASS TO RECEIVE A Store Credit.

Today's Digital SLR cameras allow both novice and experienced photographers to create some truly amazing images. If you are new to DSLR photography this class is for you. We will teach you everything you need to know to become successful at picture taking with your DSLR no matter which model or brand you choose. In this class you will learn all about the features and attachments available on your DSLR. We will cover topics such as Scene Modes (M/S/A/P modes) Media setup and resolution adjustments, ISO and White Balance, Lens/filters, focusing/exposure modes, flash and accessories. This is a hands-on class and you are expected to bring your cameras to class. We will be taking pictures and demonstrating different techniques along the way.

This class begins to move past picture organization and starts to look at the basics of retouching images.Participants will have an opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment the following skills:Touring the Full Edit interfaceOpening files in the "Full Edit" modeWorking with tabbed documentsUsing the toolsSetting edit preferencesAdjusting color settingsUsing Undo HistoryZooming and NavigatingPhoto resizing and resolution adjustmentsUsing the Recompose toolEnlarging the canvas saving files........and more.Please make sure to bring your laptop with the latest version of Photoshop Elements. We are using version 8 in class and can work with version 7 as well.The prerequisite to this class is PSE101
